Sno Cones Or Shaved Ice? We actually serve Shaved Ice. Not the old hard chunky ice sno cones that were generally served in a small paper cone. |
Do you have my favorite flavor? Well, I'm not sure, but we do always have 40 flavors on board to choose from. Almost always, we'll have a Flavor of the Month on board as well. |
How long have you been in the snow cone business and do you have a list of references? This is our 4th full year in the snow cone business. We can supply references on request. Please understand that many of our events are private events and we never give out any of our clients contact information without checking with each person individually on a case by case basis. If you would like references, please allow at least 2 business days for us to contact our clients before releasing any contact information. |
Are you in good standing with local health department agencies? Yes, we are. Currently, we have a valid, Grade A standing with the St. Louis County Department of Health (our home base county). As needed, we can obtain temporary serving permits in St. Louis City, Jefferson County and St. Charles County...so no matter where we go, you will feel confident knowing that St. Louis Snow Cone abides by the standards set forth in your community. These permits require us to be certified in the Serve Safe Food Handling courses required by all counties. All employees are trained to the standards set forth by the Serve Safe Food Handling courses, with refresher courses given in house monthly. The permits also require all of our employees to be current on necessary vaccinations such as Hep A. |
Will I need any special permits to have St. Louis Snow Cone at my event? Generally, no, but that depends on several variables such as location/venue, type of event, etc. It's always best to call to discuss your specific event with one of our owners if you have questions about permits. It is most common that no special permits are needed. |
Who will be serving at my event? We are a family owned and operated business in every sense of the word...if you're not family, then you don't work here. That means that our owners or another member of our family will be serving at your event. This guarantees the best possible service. Our reputation is on the line. If you have any questions or concerns during your event, you'll have one of our owners on site to assist you. No one will have to call a supervisor because we're already there. We are a NON SMOKING family, so we know how important it can be for non smokers to have a non smoking caterer at their event. This is one thing you'll never have to worry about with St. Louis Snow Cone. |
Do you cater events all year long? Our normal season is from March 1st - October 31st. For everyone local to St. Louis, you know how crazy the weather can be around here, especially from November to February...it could be snowing or it could be 60 degrees, who knows? So, we can cater events outside of our normal season, but we are at the mercy of the weather. We'll be happy to do events in just about any type of weather except ice & snow. Even though our truck is called the Snow Sled, it doesn't navigate so well in ice & snow. |
How far will you travel to an event? Well, that depends on the event. We've gone as fas as Nashville, TN. |
